The Problem

As global warming continues to cause problems to the planet, most large companies are exploring ways of decreasing the power requirements of their products.

Acctim has reviewed this situation and put together a small but ever expanding range of Solar Powered clocks. Most clocks fall into the following categories for power: battery, mains power, mains power and battery backup. Each of those cost valuable resources to the planet by either consuming power straight from the national grid or the creation and subsequent disposal of batteries on landfill sites, which will take centuries to decay and cause untold damage to the land around it.

The Solution

By utilising solar power through the day these clocks do not cost anything to run, or harm the environment. At night, when there's little solar energy around, they utilise battery power. A standard clock may last one year on double A batteries. Using solar power, the batteries will last between four and five years. That's a minimum saving of six batteries and untold damage to the planets resources.

These amazing clocks work out to be a pound or two more expensive than similar clocks with traditional power sources, however if you work out the cost of six good quality batteries, you'll definitely save money over the life of your new Acctim Solar Power clock.
